since master critic Mr. Marquis and I can't agree on this.

what do you think has better racing- IRL or NASCAR?

I say the IRL because the cars actually run in packs, inches apart, with everything on the line. Not to mention way faster with closer finishes.

I say NASCAR. Closer racing action. IRL, all year, has been follow-the-leader racing.

I have always like Indy Car racing better, but that's not exactly the same thing as which is more exciting. Both series have the potential for races to be exciting or snoozers depending on the track and the way the race plays out.

And Nascar hasn't??? Have you not seen all the 1.5 mile tracks with the COT this year? Every one of them has been a snoozer with almost no passing, and 0 passing for the lead except for on pit road.

1.5 mile tracks suck. That's now what NASCAR is about.

IRL = everybody running the same chasis. Cup has manufacturer battles, points battles, bigger fields.

Did you see the Charlotte race?

COT isn't the problem. Atlanta, Texas and Fontana are.

Yes, I did see the charlotte race. Other than the last 50 laps, not much.. And the All Star race, did YOU watch IT?

Oh, and are you watching Pocono today (or any other day, for that matter)? Follow the leader snooze fest. That's why I'm up hear on the computer instead of watching another boring race.

Best overall form of racing imo is drag racing. But, NASCAR is 2nd on my list.

30-something lead changes?

How many lead changes last night - 3? 4? 5?

Don't know, I was out watching the purest form of Americn racing, and the best racing, hands-down: short-track dirt racing. There's really nothing better.

But one thing to remember Andy, different forms of racing are exciting to different people for different reason. A lack of passed for the lead doesn't necessarily take away from the excitement that a person finds in any form of racing.

You have to remember that Andy is closed minded. I like how he is the **** in the punch bowl and likes to stir things up with his lack of knowledge. I love IRL. They don't have as many drivers that don't deserve to be there.

I watch the IRL races all the time. I watch any form of racing, but IRL isn't near as exciting as NASCAR. JMO, sorry if you don't agree with it. :moon:

How about horse racing? I thought Big Brown's race was interesting yesterday. LAST

More votes for Cup so far. :owned:

Gee, perhaps ole' Andy wasn't talking out of his ass, eh? ;)

Jeez Andy, go to a site for IRL fans and take the pole. I'd venture to say you would get a different vote. I'm going to start calling your Karnk, the Incridible. In your infinit widsom, all 20 years of it, you are the smartest kid I know. When will you be running for the White House?

be careful. He may take over Livenation by coup and try to buy all racing forms...

Andy, shut it :D. 2/8/5/1 split is still halfway equal...keyword being half.

Hmmm, don't watch open wheel train races, so I can't lend an opinion. Duane:D

In my opinion, the IRL is king of all motorsports. Putting Danica aside (she is the IRL:D), watching the dallaras go side by side on an oval at over 200mph is the most nerve wrecking, exciting thing in racing. It doesnt get any better than that.

Yet an ordinary NASCAR race such as Dover or Charlotte gets more viewers than the Indianapolis 500, and there are a great many more NASCAR fans.

Half the time when I tune into an Irl race the cars are seperated by seconds , probably because of the high speeds. I can say that I havent seen any IRL cars run in packs, inches apart any closer than Nascar--
