Truex Jr. Wins IROC Race
2004 Busch Series Champion Martin Truex Jr, won his first IROC race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday. Mark Martin finished in the runnerup position followed by Matt Kenseth, Helio Castroneves, Danny Lasoski, Sebastien Bourdais, Buddy Rice, Steve Kinser, Max Papis, Bobby Hamilton, Scott pruett and Kurt Busch. Just by starting the race, Martin wrapped up his fifth IROC Championship and a check for a "Cool" One Million dollars. Scott Pruett was limping as he entered the track ambulance but it was reported that he is alright after a last lap crash involving Pruett, Hamilton and Bourdais. Hamilton and Bourdais were checked out at the infield care center and released. No further word on Pruett's condition.
