Ok, so I was posting in another thread and it got me to thinking, which is hardly ever a good sign, but I digress.

Is there anything that you really dislike for no good reason at all?

I have a ton of them. There are a lot of names that I dislike because they remind me of a food that has a similar sounding name. Good examples of that escape me at the moment, but I will post some when I remember them. It drove my wife nuts when we were trying to come up with good names for our kids.

What got me to thinking about this today, however, is my utter dislike for the state of Kansas and anything relating to it. I've hated Kansas ever since the freaking Wizard Of Oz. I'm not saying it makes any sense, but it's a very strong feeling that goes back to my impressionable youth. I just remember watching that movie and thinking "who in the hell would want to live in a place like that?". And that was even before the damn tornado hit.

I will post more as they come to me.

Do you have any of these, or am I just nuts?

hmm your right I know I hate things for no apparent reason, just have to think about what they are.

Ben1, I was stationed in Kansas and got to see one of them Auntie Em twisty things. Kansas and Texas, didn't lose nothing important there, ain't going back to look. No way, no how, except....

My aunt turned 100 last Dec 24th, the plan is a 100.5 birthday party this June 24th in Texas. So I might be forced ino a visit, dammmitt
Not too fond of VietNam either

I have a bias against Progressive Insurance commercials, even though Progressive is a pretty good insurance company.

Actually don't really hate anything or anyone, including my ex.

I do have strong dislikes however,,like warm beer and cold wimminz:rolleyes:

I have an irrational desire to see Canada be conquered. Even though I tend to like Canada.

Even though I'm English Scottish Welsh and Irish, I cannot stand the English, mostly for what they did to the latter 3.

Ok, so a few of the name things that my wife just doesn't get. When I hear a name like Zachary, I think Zuchini. Sarah? I think sourkraut. Marsha? I think marshmallow. It doesn't have to be a food thing either, that just seems to be the most common association that pops in my head.
