After deals with Eddie Jordan to race in the 2003 championship with Jordan in the final open seat in F1, nothin was reached and Irvine calls it quits. He reportedly was willing to drop his normal 20 mil. salary down to a mere 1 mil. for his last season but Eddie Jordan needed a driver to bring sponserhip money with him to the team. Micheal Shumacher even said he wont be the only one to miss the Irishman from the sport after being his team mate at ferrari for four years. Eddie had four wins to his name and a best of second in the championship in 1999 to Mika Hakkinen by two points. I personally will miss him because was by far a major personality in F1 and a class act driver. I am sure will still hear his remarks around the net about topics and drivers for this coming season off and on as well.
