TNT promoted the Daytona commercial-free coverage, I almost forgot that Loudon was actually the next race. I had to look it up. :D

i think they're pulling off the commercialless system but showing all the ads ahead of time...they had 2 or 3 rows of sponsors at the bottom of the screen at once..

Daytona will be the final NEXTEL Cup restrictor plate race in the standard streamlined car. Starting at Talladega on they will race the "BRICK".

Daytona is the next race that will be interesting, NHIS is the worst track on the schedule IMO. I live 90 minutes fronm the place, but i wouldn't waste my money paying for tickets. The only race that is any good there is the Whelen Modifieds, they actually have to put restrictor plates on them because they would "outshine" the Cup cars as far as speed and good racing goes. I wish Bahre would add about 5-7 degrees more of banking to the corners then maybe he might have a track that actually has good racing. How NHIS keeps two dates is beyond me.

I've wondered this myself. They were suppose to add banking after the deaths of Adam Petty & Kenny Irwin, I think they did but not a whole lot. I agree that they should only have one race, they took a race away from Darlington & North Wilkesboro is totaly gone. Both of those places had much better racing than what go's on at NHIS.

If you will remember he sortof stole one of his dates from N. Wilksboro. It was probly only a matter of time till it was gone anyway but that isn't the point if not for Bahre and Bruton Smith we could've had a few more good years.

a agree too. Race is boring as heck. Might as well be a shortened version of indy with rounded corners...because that's all it is. All of what, 8 degrees of banking i think? I mean indy even has 9!

I like New Hampshire, sort of.

Now, Pocono and California are the most boring tracks, I think.

I'm aware of what they're doing. My point is they devoted so much time to advertising the Daytona race, I don't think I ever saw anything about the Loudon race, which is the NEXT race.

lets cut a date each from NHIS and pocono and get darlington and rockingham back on the calendar.

It amazes me too that Loudon gets two Nextel Cup races annually. But it sure satisfies the Nascar fans in New England.

They convinced me that Daytona was next. :)

But your EASY Kelloggs.

Never gonna happen IMO.

I agree Nascar not going to make it happen. But Mag's proposal sounds good to me. Only I want to take back the labor day weekend race from California and give it back to Darington.

Well if you read all the blog rumors Vegas is slated to get a Chase date fall of 08 and Pocono is going to lose a date to Kentucky. I heard this all last year too , so i'm not getting excited, but i would like to see Vegas get a fall race. I'd rather go to that than the spring one.
