Is Indycar Getting The Halo?

For some reason, I had thought that Indycar was going to get the halo at the same time that F1 got it. Obviously I was wrong. Are there plans to get it in Indycar? I think it might have saved Justin Wilson's life and Hinchcliff's serious injures not to mention probably many other Indycar injuries over the years.

It has certainly proved its worth already in F1, at least in IMHO.

I hope they are. What they have now helps....

I don't think so. There'd be more vision impairment on ovals, especially banked ovals, and the halo itself is pretty heavy. They'd have to upgrade the chassis as a whole, which isn't happening until 2021.

They've done windscreen testing this year, both on-track and off, and presumably have more outings to come in 2019.
