President Obama is chauffered around Washington, D.C., in a Cadillac limousine. Pope Benedict XVI rides in a converted truck with a six-foot-tall glass enclosure. So it's only natural that reality TV star Kim Kardashian will be cruising at the Super Bowl in a "veritable fortress on wheels."
TMZ.com has confirmed with limousine manufacturer Armor Horse that Kardashian -- the girlfriend of New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush(notes) -- will be chauffered around Miami next week in a tank/limo hybrid featuring bulletproof windows and composite ballastic panels. Why she would need more protection than Indianapolis Colts star Peyton Manning(notes), Saints quarterback Drew Brees(notes) or her boyfriend -- all of whom will be taken to the Super Bowl in a regular ol' charter bus with police escorts -- is anybody's guess.
The 2009 Armor Horse Vault XXL looks like a combination between a Brinks truck, an 18-wheeler and an ambulance. It seats 28 people and features over six-and-a-half feet of standing room. The price tag is a hefty $770/hour during Super Bowl week, or around $8,000 for the night. If you want the whole thing, the Armor Horse retails for $149,900 and boasts functional gun ports, two bars, seven televisions and various emergency escapes hatches, presumably just in case one of those seven TVs is tuned to "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
