Is The Season Too Long

Its too long...im a fan...but some people are going stir crazy over Nascar not racing right now....they are only off 3 months out of the year...its crazy...all other sports have at least 6 months off before there season starts back up.

I used to put nascar ahead of all sports...now it sits 2nd and is about to slip to 3rd becuase of the directions its going.

In my mind, no other sport can beat the NFL right now....the season runs from Septemper to February...thats long enough...nascar needs to follow in its foot steps and give some of those guys some time off.

What is referred to is the actual games themselves when referring to the "season" of any sport. The athletes themselves practice and shape up all year in most cases.
I do what I do all 12 months...most here do the same. Why should the race teams do otherwise.. A shorter season would simply cause more testing but not much more leisure.

Not too long for this fan, but it's got to be a very long season for guys on the crews and their families.

I always wondered why they don't cut the Nextel cup back by a few races to give more breaks in the season and run the Busch series starting earlier in the year (Jan.) or with a big gap in the season and have it finish right before Thanksgiving. Thus the fans only have a month too cool their heels before it starts but the teams would have gaps? Just a thought.

To long.

They need to cut it back to quilf and race in the same day. that would take alot of stress off the teams.

I don't think the season is too long, but that doesn't mean I don't think there aren't too many races. They could keep the season as long as it is and cut the number of races in half and that would be fine with me. A race every other weekend, all at different venues would be the best as far as I'm concerned.

I think it is perfect the way it is. The drivers need some time with there families during the year and driving all those weeks must be very grueling on them. I drive go-carts and I am tired after just those races.
