I thought it was a bit unusual how in a couple interviews Tony mentioned how greatful he was to GM and how he is glad to retire driving a GM. I thought this was a little strange because I hadn't heard tony mention it that way in the past and with the switch to ford next year is a bit hard to imagine him going out of his way to praise GM. then I got to thinking with 3 SHR cars in the chase and with the switch happening next year could GM shut them out of meetings and curtail support in particular during the chase? This has got to be a little bit strange of a relationship especially as the year wears on.

Tony has been with GM since day 1 in NASCAR except for the one year with Toyota at JGR, which is why he left there. I really think some of his thinking behind the retirement is the switch over to Ford. That has been in the works for some time.

In 2012, all the Penske guys had great things to say about Dodge, including The Captain himself, right up until the championship celebrations were wrapped up in Las Vegas in early December. And why shouldn't they? Dodge was paying the bills for 2012. Dodge and Penske had a professional relationship for that year.

Based on current form, the championship favorites are driving Toyotas. I doubt Chevy would try to neutralize *any* weapons in their arsenal. Just my $0.02.

He was also chumming it up with Hendrick pre race!
Did you guys see that!? Stewart to the 5!?!?

Ain't gonna happen. Hendrick owns Toyota dealerships. Honda too. That's why SHR's goin' Ford.

You guys think the drivers are "chevy guys" or "Ford guys" but they are money guys.
Don't care about what it says reads on the hood, just put cash in their pockets, motors in the car.

exactly. Chevy has got to know whatever info is shared will go into fords hands. this is in particular when the chase starts because that is when the best stuff is going to get used. Don't think for a minute things are not said for a reason and this is the reason I am thinking about. I think the brand loyalty thing is way way overblown. Case in point was harvick that story about going back to chevy was totally made up.

Well, it's said he is going to Run the Full WOO series next year for the WOO championship, is that why he is nuzzling their ear?

What power does he use in his 410 Cars?

Hendrick has already stopped having meetings and sharing their notes with SHR. They don't want their secrets going to Ford.
