Who the hell knows what will happen over the next 5 weeks, but it could be one of those championships won by the guy who is the best at avoiding drama. JJ is down but not out, and everybody knows he'll be back at it next year. This is a huge opportunity for Carl and Kyle, who's cup careers have been overshadowed by JJ's 5 year run. Harvick is still trying to re-establish RCR to their Earnhardt glory days. I think any these guys could 'Hamlin' before this is over. Throw in the history between some of these guy, and JJ, Tony and Kez could be brought back into this at any time.

Some things I wonder about.

1) What of Harvick and Kyle have a minor incident like Kyle and Carl had? Can EITHER of them suck it up and see the big picture, or will the desire for payback short circuit their brains?

2) Is Carl REALLY ok with Kyle? How did he feel about Kyle's take on the incident being so different from his? Will Carl think about this too much, then think about Phoenix, and decide it's time for Kyle to give a whole lot to make things right?

3) If Carl runs Kyle too hard, will Kyle agree it's his turn to back off and give just a little once or twice?

I think things could blow up, and it may be at Talladega. In my mind, tear up the standings as they are now and hang on for some crazy sheet.

'Dega is always a crapshoot. By the end of the race in Texas we should have a really clear picture as to who the contrenders are. Then Phoenix will serve as the deciding race. I think it will be close going into Homestead but by that time the probable Champ will be obvious.

Who will it be? Dog only knows...

I think it's going to get wild. With JJ down, these guys will be all over the championship like wild dogs on a hunk of raw meat. Patience and cool heads will be in short supply.

While I'd like to see Harvick win it all I think it's going to be Edwards, barring a seriously bad finish. Carl just seems to have it all together this year and he looks hungry. Even though I like Kevin I just don't see a hunger for the Championship in him when he gets interviewed.

Of course if the top 8 ALL crash-out in two or more of the races Jr might have a shot at it. ;)

I think you guys aren't looking at the big picture. Matt and Kevin have had a great season and Tony has been pretty good in the chase.
