My Mom just checked Weather.com to see what the wether at Dover on Sunday in going to be and as of know they are calling for Scattered Thunderstorms with a 50% chance of rain.
 
It's only Wednesday. Let's hope yet another race weekend isn't ruined by lousy northeastern weather. :mad:

Especially since I'm going to the race!
 
Please do, TRL! Anything you can do to help. This is the only race I'm going to all year!! :)

Good thing I took Monday off...
 
Weather.com is about as accurate four days out as they are a week out. Wait till about Sat noon for a forcast that is, at most, 50% accurate. I'm doing my anti rain dance too though just in case!!

Abooja you may be sorry though........I did this dance last April when it looked like rain on the California race. It didn't rain on the race.......but it ain't rained since either!!:)

I wouldn't worry about stopping the rain altogether up here, though. We get more than our fair share. :rolleyes:
 
Stupid rain... maybe they shouldn't have all the eastern races during fall/winter.. they should know thats when the rain starts..
 
That is the one thing I don't understand about the NASCAR schedule is the fall races being in places where it rains a lot. O understand the fall race at Martinsville is postponed by rain about half the time. That's why I am taking Monday off in advance this year. That way, if it is not pushed back until Monday, I have an extra day to recouperate from my trip.
 
I think they should have more races over here in Cali... they could have them in the fall.. it doesn't rain early here.. besides the fans here need more races then just the 2 or 3 they have a year..

I've never actually heard someone admit that in here, but I like them too. That's mostly because Jeff Gordon usually dominates them. But, I think they are a nice change of pace and definitely more interesting than plate "racing".
 
thats true.. he has won the most road course races as far as i know.. i just like them because they're a little more interesting... but i still love the oval.
 
I went to Sears Point last year to watch practice/qualifying, and I had a great time. More races out west would be good, right now all we have is California, Las Vegas, Sears Point and Phoenix (might get to go this year for my birthday). Better then nothing I'd say.
 
:snore: Oh man not another rain delay. I'll be forced to take a nap. Ain't that the pits.
 
Humm....I might not mind about a three hour rain delay.(Sorry Abooja) I'm going to the Titans - Browns game on Sunday and I'll miss the race on the tube(gonna take a radio) live unless they have a bit of a delay. But I don't want another rain shortened race. That just plain sucks.

That reminds me...need to get a pancho. Wonder if they sell 'em there...

Nah, actually they're probably about 5 bucks or so.
 
I 'll run out there,and plant a couple of rows of beans,and corn,and a few Tomater plants. It won't rain for sure .Works here every year.:p

They do sell panchos at the track. Plain ponchos are around 4 or 5 dollars and ponchos with drivers on them run between 7 to 10 dollars. That stinks that no umbrellas are aloud at the track. When I was there last year for the spring Busch race the aloud umbrellas (good thing they did because we had two rain delays and one was for 2 hours).
 
They changed the forcast. It looks like were going to beat out the rain by a day. Now they are calling for Partly Cloudy skys with precipation at a mere 10%. Dover is now getting the rain on Monday.

Cut holes in a large garbage bag for your head and arms and fold it up tiny.....take two, they're cheap.

I'll be watching that game B.C.. I sure hop he Titans that played the Cowboys shows up. Go Browns.
 
Just checked the weather channel site........rain chance has been reduced to 10% for Sunday. Looks pretty good.:)
