Ryan finally got that elusive first win. Now I expect a couple of more to follow real soon.

Weight of the world, huh NF? You patience has paid dividends. Enjoy.

Any victory should be savored by the fan of that driver, but lets not forget this is stock car racing.Points mean everthing to most steering wheel twisters.;)

Congrats to Ryan and the 12 team, this one was coming and he finally got it:)

I think Ryan would have won even if the race went the distance......either him or Kurt!! But Ryan was running a smarter race.:)

Thats a great assumption Wrangler,Did you not think that another Rousch car was making great strides in that direction?:)i think Ryan was tearing that car up like he always does.;)

Let me guess...........Mark Martin?:)

But, I don't think Mark had the car that Kurt or Ryan had......another 96 laps and who knows for sure!!:)

Yup, congrats to the first time winner.

And Kurt coulda had him anytime. gol dern double secret probation will do it every time.

You are so right 71,This is what would have been the demise of both those drivers if it had gone the distance for sure.

Not so sure the probation deal played that large a factor.

Kurt rattled Ryan pretty good between turns aone and two about 20 laps before the end. Ryan saved it and didn't give the spot up. When the two started catching lapped traffic, it was a matter of common sense. Kurt could have bumped again, but then he would have to get clean away and lapped traffic would likely not allow that. Caught behind a lapped car Kurt would have been fair game for Ryan. Kurt is bright enough to know that.

In Kurt's radio conversaton with the crew and Jack after the race he said he had his chance and didn't get it done, apologized to the outfit. (Unnecessarily IMO). The Cat in the Hat said he swa where Kurt was getting beat and they would work on fixing that.

Seemed to me the race was run by Kurt and Ryan exactly the way it should have been. If Ryan gets on the button a millisecond too soon or a tad too hard, the rear gets away and Kurt is past and gone. If Kurt turns to the inside a touch too early or a tad too hard and the either the front end washes out or the rear kicks out and Ryan is gone. To complain about that kind of racing is to pee in your own Wheaties.

Great observation HS.......One bright rookie and one bright sophmore battling it out. I can agree that there was not much passing during the race, but I cannot agree that there was not much racing. Those two made it a very good race.........exciting to the end.:)

Good point Scrab Man,Some will build all the tyrant into this,But a lot of this is an education in Mark 101 when it comes to racing smart.

Newman finally pulled it off. He deserves a win. And Busch actually made me respect him, just a little, by racing clean.:)

I kept expecting the horn out of Kurt, and a part of me still thinks that was his plan. I would have been happy for either of them winning, like them both.

I see you put the JoePa avator up after that embarrassing thumping they gave to the ole Cornhuskers

Vengeance is a dish best served eight years cold sometimes, NF. Unfortunately, the game was not on in our market, we get out ABC from Asheville, so I didn't get to see it. But since we put that ambush on the huskers (to my surprise, I admit) I thought I'd let JoePa get a little face time on the ol' Forum.

To my surprise as well but they may be for real----- And I do remember the game you are speaking of a while back. What about that Clemson Tiger defensive juggernaut.
