Enjoy the race everyone! Let's hope the weather holds off for awhile.

Lap 13 Vickers explodes left front tire and schreads front fender.
I always enjoy this one.
MY STUPID CABLE WENT OUT DURING THE BURN OUTS. THIS "BUDDY THING" ON SPEED ONLINE BETTER WORK. DOESN'T START TO 9PM EDT. JUST MY LUCK!!!!! My friend has been sending me emails to keep me up to date. Not quite the same as watching, through! The cable company says WE have a problem and they'll be out between 12-4 tomorrow. I could see my neighbor watching his TV next-door. At first I thought it was because of storms in the area, but nooooooooooo... it has to be just OUR cable.
I just don't get it. Why the lack of hands over hearts duing our National Anthem? I just don't get it. Never have, never will. It just doesn't look right.
I'm not saying what is technically proper or improper. I grew up with the tradition that you put your hand on your heart for the Pledge of Allegiance ONLY. You put your hands at your side or on your back for National Anthem. I'm not sure if there is a geographic or cultural preference/acceptance for one way or the other.
From tkj, for you and Muggle. Gordon's pit stall.
Who said that MRN has LESS commercials than TV?
How did MRN get to broadcast this race? Only PRN gets to work the SMI tracks.

So how did that work out for ya? I read on Twitter he ran back to his hauler to pout. I was hoping Tony would put him into the wall after the crap he pulled going 3 wide with Jeff and Ryan. He didn't win any points with me tonight that's for sure.
It looked to me like the 24 creeped up into Kyle. I'd have to say that was Gordons fault for wanting the whole track.
Wait a second......... Am I on the wrong board? I thought everything was Kyle's fault.
Sorry, that was Gordon's fault. He wanted to use the entire racetrack and drove in to Kyle.So how did that work out for ya? I read on Twitter he ran back to his hauler to pout. Sorry to you too, but not from where I was sitting. Those cars were coming right at me so I had a great view. This will sound terrible, but in my view, I'd almost put the blame on Ryan, but it was just plain good racing. We saw Ryan really moving forward on the backstretch and people were really hootin' and hollerin' and watching what was about to happen. Even Jeff said that it was just racing. The one thing that did disappoint me was that of the three cars involved, it was Kyle who survived.Sorry, that was Gordon's fault. He wanted to use the entire racetrack and drove in to Kyle.

Well, you know us race fans, there comes a time when our driver can do no wrong and it's always the other guy's fault. It always hurts when your favorite gets taken out for one reason or another, but such is life on the track.Even on TV it was pretty plain to see that it was a "racin' incident". When you go 3 wide things usually happen.

I'll second that

As I posted up above, my cable was out and I was watching the All-Star Buddy, listening to the radio and reading posts on various sites. I've watched the videos today. (BTW - It wasn't my cable co.'s fault, it was my husbands! He was pulling vines off the side of the house and accidently cut the cable line!!! Arggh! At least they came and fixed it today!)
Whoa, whoa, whoa!!! Your husband was doing work instead of the race?
Man card, turn it over!

§ 171. Conduct during playing
During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.
