It's Bristol on Saturday Night BAYYYYYYYBEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it used to be my favorite. Now it is a wait and see type of race. Some are good, some are stinkeroos.

I like Bristol, also.

And now, since you can pass inside/outside, it's even better.

The track looked really good last night! Let's see if the COT looks as good. I am thinking the new track just needed to season a bit :D

Did anyone else notice Sadler's t-shirt on the countdown show? :D

question:

Under Yellow, how does NASCAR rule speeding in the open zone between the 2 pit roads? Do they have speeding loops there or can they do whatever speed they want without passing the car ahead?

It's not just the greatest event in motorsports, it's the greatest event in all of sports! THE NIGHT RACE AT BRISTOL!!!! :beerbang::beerbang::beerbang:

Andy, for those of you who are newbies, that might be, but this track got it's reputation before it was repaved with the new banking. Yes, there are different grooves now, but having seen three races this week, I now see it still has one best groove, not the inside, but rather the outside. It's still very hard to pass on this track and like last night, when the leader comes upon two or more cars trying to stay on the same lap, they do face the challenge of being knocked out of the way. I don't think we'll see the same thing with guys in the front doing the bump and run. Too much to lose. It's a different track and while it isn't your daddy's Bristol, it can gain it's own new reputation. Let's hope that we see a very exciting race.

TRL and Majestyx

I didn't see what is said but it was a rendering of Stalin.

Ed: or it could've been Saddaam. I just got a quick glimpse walking to the computer.

The cars are running the top like they used to before concrete.

I've got some 80s Bristol races on video. You can hear those bias-ply tire squealing and see them smoking. Running right up at the fence.

This is the one race I always look forward to each season. I love everything about it. The track is awesome. Its under the lights. I also love how the kids of the drivers sing the National Anthem at this race. One way to sum it up.

ITS BRISTOL BABY!

Welcome Blaze :)
Your in good company there!

What's up with how there doing the green and yellow. Yellow is suppose to be on the bubble of getting in the chase and they had Jr and Joey in yellow and I know for sure they have no shot at making it.

They might be there MATHAMATICLY but we all know there is no chance

I'm already dizzy from the 8 different camera angles of one car within every 15 seconds and the excessive use of on-board cameras.

And to think 10 years ago, this race was an instant classic and ESPN actually showed us the race (and not just the #99 and #48 cars).

BTW ESPN, there is a zoom out function on the cameras. ;)

I'm sure he knows by now.If he has $40 he can park at Cowboy Stadium way back in the back.
LOL

or $75 if he wants to tailgate.

I think ESPN gets their cameras for $200 less than other broadcasting companies because they are "zoom delete".

I think the NFL network bought their mics at the same place. The audio for the Steeler game is horrible.
