Winter is coming with a bang. No white crap yet but bitter cold. 24* the other morning when I got in my car. Supposed to be 22* tonight and a chance of #### on Sunday Morning.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

New pups? I wonder, does anyone have a dog that has old pups?

Heh, heh! What breed are they? Better you than me with the puppies. After we lost our last corgi in early 2000, decided if we ever got another dog it would not be a puppy but one about a year old figuring it would be past the chewing and peeing stages.
Well, that worked out okay but a month later figured Bailey was lonesome and got another adult corgi. A female this time, and we named her Bonny ( I know we should have named Bailey, Clyde).

This is why I tolerate living in LA (Lower Alabama); last night it got really COLD; it was down to almost freezing! IT's still very chilly this morning. It's noon and it's only 59°!? But, that's OK; I'm off to St, Maarten and St Kitts tomorrow.

I'm not a fan of this time of the year. Everyone, including me, has to learn how to drive all over again. It's always a rough transition and makes for an extremely aggravating commute to work. I'm already looking forward to spring. :beerbang:

I don't know, we don't really get a Spring here in Maryland. Just winter and summer. Brutal heat and wicked cold. Maybe one or two weeks in between but that's about it.

Its getting cold and flurries when i got up this morning, looking at the weather it for the next 10 days gets colder and colder with chances of snow everyday:D. Then I go home for a month and miss the fun.

Keep the snow up there we don't want it

Well the Snowpocolyps had nothing to do with me.

This better be true because I'm thinking about going to **** Philly during the week of the ARCA race next year and I just might pay you a little visit if you are responsible for Snowpocalypse.:D

Speaking of **** Philly... Geno's sucks!

I said it, yes I did.

I don't have an opinion on that I've never been there. I'm not a big fan of the cheese steak either I'm fine with the bread and steak but not the rest.

It's processed crap with cheese stored all day at room temperature put on stale french bread. And the service sucked (like it did EVERYWHERE in **** Philly).

But everyone in **** Philly said this was the best place to go!

I don't know since I'm from outside of Philly I don't know the good places to eat in Philly.

There's nothing good in Downtown **** Philly. The place is the armpit of America. THE nastiest people you will ever meet. Every single place I went, piss poor service, dozens of people who felt like I owed them something because they're black -- I would kill myself if I had to work or live there. I feel sorry for every responsible, hard working person who lives in that city and has to support the rest of the population in that filthy city.

I don't know nothin' about Geno's. I had the best Stromboli and Pizza I ever had in my life while I was in south Philly, but I coudn't tell you the name of the place. It was a few blocks away from the old Veteran's Stadium. That stuff was orgasmically good.

Barely 40º here, and it's been getting cloudy. They're expecting snow flurries tonight. I tell you, just got home from a high school football game, and sitting on aluminum stands in 40º weather with no sun and a breee makes for a cold butt.

But at least the local boys won.

Remember that race at Potomac in 09? 32* or something, and they ran out of hot chocolate.... I love racing and I stayed it out 'til the end but my little ass nearly turned in to an Andy-cicle!

37 right now, low tonight 23. Extended forecast till mid week is for the same temps +/- a degree or two.

Went to work today with the forecast being a slight overcast, hi's in the mid 40's with chance of precip late in the evening. The NC mountains might get some snow, little coverage. Okay, that was the forecast. Now here's what happened. Got to work, loaded the truck and headed out to the route. Around 11:00 am, I chatted with a guy who was raking his leaves. I noticed a few very small snow flakes and told the guy to hurry up. He laughed and said that he couldn't see any snow and that when I reached his age, I wouldn't be able to see them either. That was the beginning. Within a half hour, it was coming down heavy. When I got off, around 5:30 pm, we had received close to three inches of the white crap.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Snowed here on and off all day yesterday. I had to leave my truck out in the driveway last night while the snow melts off of our freshly cut and drying Christmas tree in the garage. The truck has about an inch of snow on it after sitting out there last night. As long as the roads are clear the snow is not such a bad thing. I get tired of taking the long winter commutes to work. You can be as careful as you like but eventually you'll have the 'crap your pants' moment driving on the snow/ice covered roads.

Been there, done that too many times to count. I delivered parts for a dealership parts department back in the early 90's. I drove a WT1500 and a big old chevy van with no side windows. Both were rear wheel drive only and many of the places I had to negotiate those vehicles to deliver body panels and other stuff was unplowed. I also spent a winter driving about 40 miles each way to Cleveland a few winters ago.
