LSU vs oklohoma come on atleast if your still going to allow ou to go to the bowl they should be going against usc. I am not a fan of any of these teams, but this is just rediculous, usc is #1 on most of the human polls (that actually uses some common sence), yet they dont even have a chance to win the championship.

This should have been easy, LSU vs. USC in the sugar bowl and OU vs Michigan in the rose bowl. Instead we have Lsu vs. OU in the sugar bowl and USC vs michigan in the rose bowl. Im sorry Lsu and Ou fans but imo this sugar bowl means nothing. The system is bs, usc and there fans got cheated.

:bslfag: I agree the system stinks. But it all boils down to megabucks. They must think a OU. and LSU match up will bring in the most cash.

If this isn't the funniest thing that could have happened to the BCS I don't know what it. I have hated the BCS ever since it was schemed up.

USC is the no. 1 team in the final real polls and yet the BCS has them not even in their championship game.

This is exactly why there needs to be a college football playoff. Until then all of this BS will continue to happen. It really isn't fair to the kids who play their hearts out all year to have a bunch of computers decide who gets a chance to win it all.

I will add yet another...

:bslfag:

USC got screwed over.....

Hopefully this pressures support for a playoff system.

I don't understand why they don't crown the champ like they do in basketball

#2 LSU vs #3 OU sugar bowl
#1 USC vs #4 Michigan Rose bowl
#6 Ohio state vs. #10 Kansas state Fiesta bowl
#8 Florida State vs. #9 miami Orange Bowl
#5 Texas vs Washington state #14 Holiday bowl

What a waste to a good season.

Guys, while I agree with you on most of these counts, all you are doing is remembering what happened yesterday. Also, to say that USC is getting screwed just because of computers is silly. Ask yourself one question and be honest. If OU had lost their first game of the season and USC had lost their last game, with everything else being the same, who would be #1? And we mustn't forget about LSU either. Polls are done emotionally and this last one was done very quickly as it had to be done so. USC lost to the California Bears who didn't have what one would call a great season. Yet it's forgotten about at the end of the year. The only way to prevent this sort of thing from happening again is to have a playoff system, but that probably won't happen in my lifetime and probably most of yours as well. And remember, the pairings aren't done by people, it's done by computers that have been programed acording to what was agreed upon by all parties.

Oh yeah, one more thing.... Gooooo Sooners!

I agree, How can you send a team who didn't win their conference championship to the championship game? I firmly believe that USC is getting screwed. But nobody here can honestly say that LSU doesn't belong there. So does USC. BCS is :bslfag:

:bslfag: Nothing else needs to be said. The third time in the last 4 years the best two teams haven't played for the championship.

Its not the point of they both lost 1 game buck, its the fact that ou lost there confrence and is still able to win the national title. Confrence is suppose to be so important in college football, its almost like someone loosing the NFC or AFC championship title and still going to the super bowl.

Very fine points and I agree with everything, except maybe the go sooners part.

Well, I cannot offer any advice for the USC fans soul.

Except they shouldve been rooting a lot more for my favorite the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to beat Syracuse. :D

I was just gonna post on how i couldn't beleive that my very own Syracuse Orangemen had an impact on the national title. Maybe you havn't heard them called syracuse when talking about basketbal. For football we are more commonly known as sorrycuse or syra-excuse. Maybe youve heard of our coach, paul pasqualoni. more commonly refred to as coach pbrain, coach pass the baloney, or the official coach of the runleft, run right, incomplete pass, punt offense.
If friggin coach p could have screwed up like half of the other games this season, no one would care about this. If our AD had the guts to fire a friggin coach after losin to friggin RUTGERS, one of the worst teams in 1-a, no one would be upset on how usc was snubbed...

*sorry about the rant on the sorry state of our football program. I'm sure i'll end up posting more about his on friday when Jake the snake crouthamel will annouce that he's not gonna can p...
