J.J. wrecks 'em all again.

Quote of the race...." I need some help."--Jimmie Johnson

I agree completely.

didnt take him long to blame someone else either.......he can never take the blame for anything he ever does.

What do y'all think of that interview with J.J.?
What a complete JACKASS!!!
Everybody's to blame but J.J.

JJ is a cheating punk and should be banned. JR should have punted his ass into the stands.

I wish Jimmie would just take responsibility. That's all that bothers me. People are gonna talk trash because they can't stand Jimmie because he's teamed with the 24, or he's a points leader and they're jealous, or he 'cheats', or whatever. I just wish Jimmie would buck up and say; "Look I screwed up. Sorry to (insert car number(s) here), we'll finish better next week for the fans. If one of the 42 other drivers have never made a mistake, gimmie a call on the cell and you can be first to slap me in the mouth."

Which is exactly what would make all these idiots (drivers included) shut the hell up. However, if he keeps laying the blame elsewhere when it's obvious (or in some cases not obvious) it's his fault, every one of you, and the drivers have every right to talk as much sh!t as ya want.

As a Jimmie fan; feel free to continue to bash him as if your boy has never done anything wrong. =)

Nextel Cup already has Jimmie's name on it, and chances are your boy didn't even make the Chase. =)

I don't think you should be pouring the bubbly just yet Kyle. The Ford Five will have some strength coming on towards the end. We already know that the Dodges will suffer on the downforce tracks. I don't think this one is carved into the trophy yet.

Kyle 48, as with most fans I for one am not a 48 fan for one reason. The guy never admits fault. Never. I can understand deflecting fault on occassion but the guy does it every single time. I am not going to bash him, he will will a few championships, and he is a damn fine driver but until he starts owning up he will be one that I do not cheer for.

Bush is done, he has messed up twice.....and Tony will be very hard to beat...Jimmy will be back up there next week.

It will come down between, 20, 48 and 16

Allready has his name on it?? LMAO now that is funny. Where is he in points right now?? Not in first now is he.

My boy did make it and is kicking your boys butt. And he is doing it without cheating and without wrecking people.

JJ is just like his mentor, chip off the old block, in fact most of his fellow teamates are like that. Maybe JJ should take lessons from Jr and Mikey on how to draft! I don't dislike the guy, but when you whine on national TV when it was clearly your fault, then i have a problem with it.

:nyanya: THIS week.

...and a Stewart fan tossing stones about wrecking people? Now, that's comedy, man.

And how is it no one's bashing Newman for turning Mears around and then going on to finish in the top five. That wreck resulted in some of the worst carnage of the day, yet it's been unmentioned. That's interesting.

these words came out of newman's mouth.

I'm sorry.

he didnt try to blame someone else like JJ did.

The only names on the Nextel Cup are Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch. Personally, I'm hoping it stays that way for a while.

"I'll take responsibility. It's not a big deal to me. I can accept that." - Jimmie Johnson on the wreck sunday

I'm sure it's not good enough. Everyone's drinking the Haterade.

During the race Jimmie said he got bumped into Sadler, which at 190 mph, at less than 12 inches apart and Earnhardt, with quite possibly the best drafting set-up on the track pushing you, it probably felt like a bump.

He said that AFTER he tried to blame Jr.

It was actually before he made the Junior comment in post-race, but those pesky facts tend to get in the way sometimes. =)

Set down the rosey shades for just a minute will ya Kyle?

Rebel, seriously, just last night I was saying basically the same thing as everyone else (link). However, after really looking into the race, the wreck caused by Newman, and finding the quotes (which I still can't find one from Newman apologizing, if someone's got a link I want it.) my opinion's changed.

I really think this basically all goes back to Jimmie getting loose in the spring, running into Mike Wallace and taking Junior out. All the 8 fans started hating him then, and have been looking for excuse after excuse to continue hating the guy, regardless of actual events. Jimmie was at fault both times, I've never discounted that. So, the rose colored glasses of a fan are certainly off.

As far as the quote, Jimmie didn't have to say he was sorry at all. Newman and Jarrett didn't apologize to one another, or anyone else for that matter after their brawl at Bristol, yet no one's freaking out about it. He did screw up, but look at the reaction he gets; whether he says he's sorry or not, they still hate him. This is the type of stuff that builds attitudes like Stewart's a few years back, and frankly, after all this, I wish Jimmie would head that direction. 'Screw 'em, go win'. Worked for Senior and everyone loved it.

Well, at least it's "not a big deal" to him. Obviously it was to everyone else involved.
