I can't imagine a much worse idea for the Jets. It seems like a PR stunt. They are known as a bunch of malcontents, criminals, and worse. So they go out and get a guy with a sterling reputation as a citizen, regardless of what you think of him as a player, like that somehow makes up for the Santonio Holmes' and Antonio Cromarties.
Incidently, I think it is funny that Cromartie is the first Jets player to bash Tebow after the move. The last time I heard, Cromartie had at least 10 illegitimate kids with at least 9 different women. I wouldn't want someone shining a light into my room if it were that dark either, if I were him.
Now as a football move, I don't get it either. They are commited to playing Marc Sanchez over $20 million over the next two years. Sanchez is a pretty lousy quarterback, but them trading for Tebow isn't gonna help his confidence at all. Many of his teammates have already been throwing him under the bus, so his confidence certainly isn't too high already.
