I thought they called a caution for the #5 car just being on the track. It was a hazard for everyone else.

I don't remember what caused all the debris cautions, but I remember a couple were for tiny / harmess pieces of debris.

When Earnhardt got a flat on the last lap of '90 Daytona 500, my BIL cursed out something about a piece of ******** Ford transmission 
I think TV showed every piece of debris. They may have seemed insignificant to us, but it doesn't take
much to cut down a tire.

They should then flag the field every time a side skirt is flared.
I don't know about flagging the field, but I do think NASCAR ought to stop the flaring of the side skirts.
It wouldn't take much to officiate on pit road --- crewman pulls on the side skirt, official steps in front of the car and winds his watch for a while.
I thought they changed that piece so it was part of the car now? Weird. I've seen a couple of those over the past few weeks.

Thats what I thought to but they are still falling off and causing cautions, its a conspiracy from the "dark side" to sway race results I bet
