Hope he has better luck then when he drove a truck on ovals or they have plenty of back up cars. 3 crashes out of seven.o_O

I don't think he has actually driven a road course in nationwide either. He just makes it up as he goes along.

This is what i see when I imagine JV waiting for Sonoma.

The "Destroy Danicas Chance to Win (DDCW) Society" is sponsoring Jacques for the event. I contributed $50 to the effort, anyone interested in joining this noble cause can forward the funds to me, and I will be sure that the money goes to the cause.

$5 gets you a "thank you for the hate" handwritten letter by our own Andy.
$50 gets you a glossy photo of the shoe that stopped Danica last year.
$500 gets you admission into a "how I did it" conference with the unknown shoe thrower.
$5000 gets a meet and greet the thrower meeting.
$50.000 gets you the actual shoe.
$100,000 gets you a direct hook up to Jaques radio, and allows you to request the direct Sonoma hit at a precise time.

The gifts rival those that PBS gives to their contributors, and every DDCW society member gets a "put that hottie out with fire" tee shirt.

just goes to show how hard it is for these guys to retire and quit racing. They always want one more chance to show they can still race for the win.

Yes, Kurt nearly won at Sonoma in the 51 last year. He finished 3rd after being passed by Tony on the last lap while running in second.

He might just have won if he hadn't hit those tires the first year they had them bolted to asphalt. Was amazing watching him finish those last couple laps with his rear end slapping back and forth.

On the Jaques thing, I am from Canada and lets just say the attitude of our Quebecers are not something we are totally proud of. But heck he can drive, won a world championship in F1 against The Schumi "Undoubtedly the best driver in the world." But I'm with you guys, NASCAR not the place to be acting like a bull in a china shop.

Maybe he learned ? :) He did soft peddle and loose Montreal last year lol

When Penske hired AJ instead of Jaques for Road America and Mid Ohio I thought the field was saved. But Jaques is now taking on a whole different field...

Yes maybe a different field but he's been with them in the past:
-2007 Talladega start 6th Finished 21rst lead lap owner Bill Davis
-2007 Phoenix start 27th Finished 41rst crash owner Bill Davis
-2010 Indianapolis start 43rd Finished 29th 3 laps down owner Todd Braun
and now 2013 Sonoma with owner James Finch

<-- Canadian too.

Jacques is an alright driver, his glory days are behind him though when he gave Schumi a run for his money, he's not quite a clone of his late father Gilles but he's still capable.

Is this tax deductible?
