McMurray to Team with Montoya and Drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Chevrolet in 2010 CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 18, 2009) – Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates announced today that they will add NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver Jamie McMurray as a teammate of Juan Pablo Montoya, to drive the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Chevrolet for the 2010 NSCS season. Fresh off his win at the Talladega Superspeedway on Nov. 1, McMurray will return to Ganassi whom he raced for from 2002-05. Bass Pro Shops will once again return for their fifth season as one of the primary partners on the No. 1 Chevrolet. ·

I think Jamie Mac is one of the most under-rated drivers in the garage. He's got a lot of talent, but just hasn't gotten a good combination of car/team/crew chief.

I don't know if going to EGR will be a good move, but it can't be too bad considering how well Montoya has done. Plus, it's better than not having a ride after Roush.

They all have talent otherwise they wouldn't be in Nascar. I think he is very over rated, J Mac is JUST an average driver for this series
 
Good for him, glad to see he has a ride even though he is average at best. I hope he does well but I'm not counting on it. He should have done better at Roush.
 
Good move for Jamie Mac, bad move for EGR with Felix Sabates. Bass Pro will be off that car in 2011.
