Jason Jarrett, son of the 1999 Winston Cup champion Dale Jarrett, will attempt to make his first Winston Cup race next weekend at Talladega. Jarrett will run a third Robert Yates Racing Ford with the #98. Decisions on sponsorship and paint scheme are expected to be made over the next several days. The 27-year old Jarrett, who is current second in the ARCA championship chase, competed in 40 Busch Series races between 1997 and 2000.(PRN's Garagepass radio show/Jason Jarrett Site)(9-16-2003)

I hope Jason can make it, but this is probably only a R & D car like other teams have been running at the plate races this year to get more information.

I don't know if I would want my first WC race to be Dega...
I bet you are right Park30fan.

I hope Jason makes it becuase he has a good talent behined him.

But his first major race at Dega? Thats pretty concerning right there.

I bet the other drivers will be cautious. Looks like he's fairing well in the Arca series but I didnt here to many positiveresults about him in the Busch series

The Busch series isn't always a reflection of how drives will do in Cup, Stewart had a pretty unimpressive Busch record.
