Jason Leffler: One Year Later

Definitely taken way too soon. Leffler never quite got it going in Cup, but he was still very talented nonetheless. He would have been the 2007 BGN Champion had Cup drivers not been allowed to race for points.
 
Racing is dangerous, too often we as fans forget this. This is not like stick and ball sports...our heroes face death every minute out there. They dont blow the whistle in NASCAR like they do in other sports.

i wasn't a big Leffler fan, didn't dislike him or nothing, but after his death, reading about him, he was a good dude,

Seen so many lives lost for the love of something. Dale Sr, Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin, so many lives taken away prematurely for something I love to watch.

These guys and gals are about as tough as they come. Jason I thought deserved better, but he never complained. He was just a fantastic wheelman awaiting that needed opportunity.

i was looking forward to Adam Petty racing. a Petty that loved racing unlike Kyle Petty always claimed. plus he looked like he was going do good from what times he did race. but about Jason, i was surprised at how many drivers spoke about racing with him and watching him race
 
The night he died was my first time at Bridgeport, that crash was scary and you could tell it was bad when they pulled him out of the car.
 
That year flew by really fast, lost way to soon and wish he had a really good chance at the Cup Series.
