What was that kid thinking last night? Swerving like a drunken person and cost himself a spot in the 500. Maybe he made the jump too fast....

I thought DW explained it pretty well. He had a run and made his move and it looked like he was going to make the pass but Cup regulars teamed up and moved past him sending him to the back. A good move turned bad.

That was Bowman..Burton caused it by hitting Hornish who hit Bowman who had been shuffled to the back by the two Gibbs car that froze him out of his pass attempt. Burton? I don't know what the hell he was doing..looked like a case of headupazzitis. Looks like the first might be bump, Hornish moved over, but then Burton for sure hit him the second time and sent him flying.

Bowman , Burton , Hornish ...all great drivers , who didn't finish tenth .

Uh no Ted, two rookies and a winless cup driver, win less just like the 10th place car but all are driving for much less funded teams.

I think she has enough skill , what she needs is Denny to draft with her on Sunday .

Name me a driver who hasn't got "bouncy" in a pack. It don't matter if you're a rookie or a vet. Daytona and Talladega does funny things to cars.

Thank you.

A man named Tony Stewart, a three-time champion, has caused a lot of hell on plate tracks.

Too much potential in Jeb to throw him under the bus just yet.

Plenty of potential, but I don't know if there's enough experience for him to be swimming at this end of the pool yet.

I have thought of it as well, but BK Racing offered him a seat... He had no sponsors in Camping World or Xfinity. It's a crappy team, but racing is better than sitting at home and it's the pinnacle of stock car racing. Something is better than nothing. I would have done the same IMO. I have a team and no worries about sponsors, yet.

Duh Jeb isn't ready for Cup. He'd be in the Truck Series if his rides didn't keep getting taken away. He's a talented driver. He was trying to do too much with a slow, underfunded racecar and caused a wreck. Typical plate racing deal.

one thing about it, even with a crappy ride at least he is getting paid more then a truck ride I would guess.

How did this become about Danica???

I think every thread being about Patrick is why that sticky was created. Some people are obsessed. I try and talk about other drivers as wlel..I love Stewart and Uncle Harv. Not a fans of Logo....

As a Toyota fan I hate to say it, but those BK cars are garbage.

Sad but true. Shame to see talented young shoes like Cole Whitt, Ryan Truex, Alex Bowman and even Jeb Burton being stuck with BK Racing as their only hope of sticking in the sport.

Bowman and Whitt seem to have moved up to better rides. But Truex has likely had his career ended, and I'd imagine Burton will struggle mightily and be out the door sooner rather than later.

NASCAR needs to fix the lower tier series. Make it cheaper to run in, limit the Cup teams, or something. All the young drivers in the pipeline are being forced to jump into field filler Cup rides because they can't get funding to run in the freaking Truck Series. Hell, look at what happened to James Buescher? He's the 2012 Truck Series champ and a Daytona winner for Christ sake. Yet he's stuck in a part time Truck ride for NTS? That's a damn shame.

they have done a bunch in K&N and ARCA with spec motors and cheap body panels to cut costs and even up the competition. Might be having trouble introducing all that in the higher series, Manufacturers have a bundle tied up in their motor tech, and all the rest of it.

Oh, no doubt. If you're not ready for the opportunity but it's the only one you have, you take it.

Not using TRD engines, but builds their own engines and chassis. They need a partnership to succeed.
