Jeff Gordon runs out of talent

Chokes. Spins by himself with a few laps to go from the win.

 :XXROFL:

Nope, he didn't run out of talent.

I must say this about the new car, it does make the drivers sit up and watch what they are doing --- they have to DRIVE the car, not just steer.

I liked Jeff Gordon's response. He took the blame by saying that he got to aggressive. Some others would have blamed it on the Goodyear blimp.

No. He ran out of talent, if only for a very brief moment. I felt bad for him, he ran a hell of a race.

He admitted it was his fault. I was laughing so hard when that happened.

I would rather have him aggressive than a candy-azz like another driver today. :)

Kevin for allowing JPM to show him up.
Tho I assume Kevin had a light bulb go off and think about the Chase and what the consequences could be.
That neither is getting fined is a load of BS considering what Nascar has done in the past.

I wouldn't say Jeff's run out of talent by any means.

I don't like the guy but there's no disputing that Jeff Gordon's one of the greatest drivers ever to climb into a NASCAR racecar.

Agreed.

Harvick started it, and he should've been ready to finish it.

No fines, no penalties. Nascar must view this as part of the entertainment. Anyone else who pushed and shoved and used questionable language would have had their hand slapped at least. But since JPM was involved their hands are tied so Harvick gets a free pass as well.
Is JPM the new Lil'E as far as Nascar is concerned?

They're not penalizing Harvick because he aimed his actions toward JPM.

Just like they penalized Juan for the finger, but not Tony.

Silly statement!! "Ran out of talent"!! Tony and Jeff both were pushing the envelope on that road course to win and had nearly identical trips off course. lol I'm a JG fan and I like Tony as well; and that race was a 9.5 in my book!!!!!

Not-so-happy-Harvick better be keerful with JPM. JPM could take him down in a heartbeat!!!!! He is well schooled in martial arts!! LOL

agree,
Kevin was the dumb ass that parked in front of Juan starting the whole thing.

I think JPM has to take some of the blame for cutting across the track to block the 1 car. Truex had a run on him and JPM pulled down in front of him and layed on the binders. Truex didn't have enough time to react.

How often have other guys let off? You're supposed to brake entering one anyways.

Truex flat out drove in there wide open to wreck the 42 after the block. Entering a corner is one thing, and Truex could've/should've let off. Instead, he got pissy with Montoya and decided he'd drive it in harder than anyone else has all weekend and take out three top 10 cars in the process. That's Truex, he's ALWAYS raced like that (ok, so he's not as bad as Keebler Elf). I knew Truex was gonna wreck him out after the block. I'm not saying Montoya should've blocked him, but Truex had 100% of the control to not cause that wreck.

As far as the Montoya/Johnson incident, Montoya was inside of him and already making the pass (unlike Truex) wheen Johnson blocked, so I don't want to hear that crap from you guys.

And as far as Harvick v. Juan goes, Harvick got mad at the wrong guy. :idunno:

So guys can wreck others unbder caution without penalty and fight on the racetrack without fear of a penalty!

Bristol ought to be a hoot! :bounce:

He had plenty of time to react. You're supposed to brake entering a corner anyways.

You've got tro get way off the gas and hard on the brakes entering turn 1 - not a part of the track where you're up to full speed.

What don't you understand? MY COMMENT has to do with KEVIN parking infront of JPM starting the altercation. Not JMP effing up in the turn.
KEVIN, your buddy, had no reason to block JPM from getting to the garage.

Harvick likes to jaw a lot but it was interesting neither one of those two tenderfoots took their helmets off so how serious could it be ? Harvick was p.o.'ed, according to him, because Montoya is involved in an on-track incident every week with his aggressive syle.

Take note of the footage when Truex entered the first turn and you will plainly see his front end dive as braking began, well before the impact as Montoya moved down to block.
There is a question about Montoya having a different first and second gear quite different than others in the field and he could not get up to speed as quickly as other cars during restarts.
Definitely Truex is ultimately responsible for the wreck but Montoya is not totally blameless.
It looked like Harvick's team was working on the car under red flag conditions until Sabattes stepped in.

Will penalties be issued today ??

They already said yesterday that there would be no penalties to JPM or Harvick. That there was no altercation. Just 2 good ol' boys having a friendly discussion about how to find the nearest Waffle House.
Meanwhile, Robbie has been penalized 25 points and $10,000 for finishing 5th despite their best efforts to cost him a position.

NASCAR needs to learn to be consistent handing out their penalties. If they're going to pull crap with other drivers, they should do the same to the others. They fined Tony for saying BS and then Kevin says on air he was telling Juan he was going to kick his ass. On replays, they've been bleeping out the ass. How stupid. They fine Robby for disrupting the race, yet Kevin pulls his car in front of Juan's and they do nothing. They fined Jeff for pushing Kevin but Juan and Kevin were just "having a discussion?" Give me a break.
