Just shows you how much work goes into these cars. Pretty cool video
 
As someone whose had experience in a paint booth paint cars, this is awesome.
 
I thought they wrapped the cars these days. There must be a reason why they put the time into painting the car over wrapping it.

Yes, it's called DuPont or should I say it was. DuPont's painting division is now known as Axalta Coatings Systems. They sponsor Gordon and that is the reason that they still paint his cars.
 
I wonder if JG is the only one who has his cars painted now.....way cool video

I wonder how Gordon feels about being connected to a sponsor who was convicted for raping his own 3 year old daughter and diddling his young son.. rape your own daughter and molest your son and serve no jail time.. This sick piece of zhit should be straight up executed!

Axalta is the new dupont auto paint division.That's why this is painted instead of wrapped.

A sponsor can't rape & molest anyone. If someone in the company did, that's on them. One criminal act doesn't represent everyone who is employed there. What kinda ridiculous statement was that
 
Had no idea there were ANY cup cars that weren't wrapped these days. That is badass. Love it!
 
I always identified Gordon's car as the Dupont car but with multiple sponsors these days there are only a few cars that I associate a sponsor.

In the last thread like this, someone mentioned a weight difference between the wrap & paint. Said the wrap weighed much less than the paint. Is there an advantage in weight/speed in wrapping rather than painting?

Maybe Gordon could have much better restarts if his car weighed less :p

I think they can make the other parts of the car lighter to compensate for the weight of the paint
