Been trying to dope that one out myself.Originally posted by Mopardh9@May 6 2003, 04:48 PM
This going to be really intersting seeing Green chase down Harvick, something tells me this has been in the makings for awhile.....just a got feeling.
I hope Jr's honor's this....I guess there is/has been alot of promotion around this already, plus steve just shot some commercials(not sure for who) so I dont think he can just disappear....he ran good once in this car, and I think he can do it again...Originally posted by robby.31.is.#1@May 6 2003, 05:07 PM
Something to note of:
Will Steve Park still drive for Chance 2?
Interm is as long as it takes to get shane Hmeil(sp?) a penzoil firesuit....Originally posted by HardScrabble@May 6 2003, 04:20 PM
Yep it is all confirmed by DEI.
Don't know how long "interim" is. But for whatever period of time that is, the ride is Jeff's.
It is also being strongly rumored that Mike Wallace has the 30 car for Charlotte with no indication of what happens after that.
Shane is the son of steve hmeil the technical director for DEIOriginally posted by Mobara@May 6 2003, 06:07 PM
It's pretty interesting, considering the RCR/DEI smack that was being tossed around in Daytona. DirtyMo, question sort of related to getting Shane Hmeil in the Pennzoil firesuit comment, is his father the spotter for the #1 car? I can't remember.
When did Green work for DEI?Originally posted by robby.31.is.#1@May 6 2003, 07:24 PM
Something to think about:
Jeff Green and Childress did get along. They went hunting together a lot. But a change was needed in the RCR camp, Green could not work with Harvick at all. Knowing that RCR and DEI work together a lot and share information sometimes, what if RCR had communicated to DEI that he was releasing Green so DEI could immediately pick up Green and give him the #1 ride.
Its more than just coincidence that both teams released their drivers almost at the same time. Especially given that fact that Green worked with DEI before.
Jeff Green drove the #3 Busch Car when Dale retired from Busch after winning his seventh championship in 1994.Originally posted by DirtyMo1381529@May 6 2003, 07:31 PM
