The only comment that I would make, or question I would raise about the article, was the mention of Hornish and Franchitti and whether or not they deserved a shot in CUP after little success in Nationwide. Here's the difference in my book. Hornish and Franchitti were both Past IRL Champions and obviously, Miss Thang is not...

But, to Fryer's point, they're totally different cars. Being an IRL champion in no way means you're gonna succeed in NASCAR. It might turn out that stock car racing is Danica's thing and she ends up better at it.

Not everyone has the talent Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya have and can have instant success in both.

But that's a different series and different type of cars.

Stock Cars Danica has done better then both so if they deserved to move from Nationwide to Cup with only a few races? Why can't she?? At least Danica is doing the smart thing and going to at least run one full season before moving into the Cup Full time.

Plus here we go right now Danica did bad this year in Indy but hey lets see most of them was Road/Street Courses right? So far 8 of these 14 races have been on these type of tracks. Her best finishes this year have been on the tracks that are not like them. I mean honestly I think she's just better when it's not a road/street course and Nationwide has what? 2? 3? they ain't going to Canada from what I hear next year so she'll not have to much to worry about when it comes to them. She'll do good I think.

I think the critics are totally unfair when they say Danica's exploiting her looks to get a ride. I mean, why is there absolutely no outrage that Maryeve Dufault and Jennifer Jo Cobb exploit their looks? In fact, why is there no outrage that Maryeve and JJC have rides solely because of their looks?

Is it something where fans want someone more attractive to be better than Danica? Hell, I've been flamed on Twitter for saying that Maryeve won't win an ARCA race... yet the very same people go to work on Danica every day.

Or is it something where other women and some men don't want an attractive woman succeeding in NASCAR?

I honestly have no idea. Heck to me I'd like to see female attractive or not come to Nascar and do good or hell even win an Arca race be good enough for me. The fact Danica looks good just adds to it but its not what's really all about her. She's a pretty good driver and doesn't want to rush she wants to learn which is the smart thing to do.

Will she do good? I don't know but I do think she can but I'm not gonna say she will or won't. But I do think she'll get at least one win.

IMO it is in the natue of man to be sexist, not saying all guys are, but for the most part that is the case. For a woman to come into Nascar, generate the amount of interest Danica has, pull in the big sponsor, and have the media around her constantly, is bound to make a lot of people in Nascar and motorsports in general down right jealous and envious. Personally I'd like to see her do well, I think it would be great for sports in general, not just Nascar. I think Danica has to have the attitude she does in order to succeed. She is arrogant at times, but most drivers are, they have to be in order to maintain their competitive edge. I say more power to her, I hope her talents continue to improve in Nascar, and I hope she proves a lot of people wrong.

People say that Danica uses her looks to get a ride right? Well that may be true but don't some guys already in Cup do the same thing? I mean did Hendrick hire Kasey Kahne because of his driving record or because the young girls love him and will buy his merchandise?
