Slow down, pal
Jeremy Mayfield, Kahne's Evernham Motorsports teammate, was stopped for speeding by Jackson, Mich., police Friday after leaving the track. But, unlike a couple of well-publicized traffic stops of NASCAR drivers during the past year, this one amounted to no problem.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot newspaper said the 37-year-old driver was stopped about 5:30 p.m. after an officer observed Mayfield exceeding the 25 mph speed limit on a city street, although he did not clock him.

The officer, who did not know Mayfield was a racer until the driver told him, ran a background check. He then let Mayfield, driving a black Dodge Durango with dealer license plates, go with a warning to slow down.

Evernham spokesman Denny Darnell said Mayfield was on his way to a sporting goods store after dropping off his wife at a nearby shopping mall. "It was really no big deal," Darnell said.

I don't really give a crap one way or the other. I've certainly had a few tickets an been warned multipul times and let go.
However I do tend to see a big attitude difference from fans about this than when the last name of the offender was "Busch".

You think? None of us were there. The different "Attitude" might just be frrom the press and the way it's reported.
I didn't hear a lot about Kyle having a bad attitude, but his ass was still ripped wide open.

You have a valid point.
I can't be objective about Kyle Bush. I can't stand him. Kurt, I think he really is trying to change. Long before he switched teams. I'm not a fan of his, but I think he is trying.

I'm with you, I wear my Blue Kellogs jacket proudly but can't stand either Busch. It's just tiresome seeing the double standard attitudes by fans. Personally I show most of my displeasure for them by ignoring them.

Yep i ignore them too when i possibly can, but it is hard to ignore two drivers that bring so much negative press to themselves.
