What did you think of JGR asking Mikey to drop out of the draft to help hambone? Did they forget hambone has a teammate?

I didn't like it at all as I chose Mikey as one of my dark horses on my fantasy team. Heck, if someone would have started a thread for the Bonehead of the Week - Talladega, Hamlin was my pick for riding around the back of the pack and losing the draft. He should have strapped on a pair and been running up front. Leave the rear for Jimmie. Interpret that how ever you like. :D
 
I see no reason why Logano couldn't drop back. He isn't a chase racer. That should have been his job.
Thats just arrogance on Gibbs part, to ask someone else to drop back.

I think JGR was taking advantage of Mikey's always positive attitude. Let's ask Mike to do it, don't worry he'll say yes, he's not in it to win it, he's just makin laps. They disrespected the man, he is a two time Daytona 500 winner...
 
Who knows. Mikey probrably owes JGR racing something, being a Toyota team. Notice how well his cars have ran this year, especially on the plate tracks?
 
I'm sure that Toyota has everything to do with it. It was explained that Mikey was the Toyota that was in the best position on the track at that point to drop back to help Hamlin. Had Hamlin been actually racing it would have not even been an issue.
 
I found it quite hilarious. The mighty Gibbs organization having to beg for help. Have some humble pie, Coach.

Kyle did ask his crew chief about dropping back and helping Denny. His cc said something along the line of he knew they should do it as a team mate but he told Kyle not to.
 
GEEZ. Denny finished ninth. How much better of a day could he of had?
 
my question is where do you get the nerve to even ask someone for help when you weren't racing to begin with. how difficult would it have been to stay in contact with the next to last car in the race?

Exactly....I think Mikey probably laughed at him, they( Hamlin & crew chief) screwed up, they were lucky things turned out like they did.
 
Ya know, I didn't see a Bonehead of the week thread for Dega, but I do think this whole issue would certainly qualify
