this is one of the most bizarre personnel moves i can remember in baseball. a bit surprised andy hasn't given his view of what's going on. i frankly pay very little attention to the nationals for obvious reasons. they've always sucked. <g> not now though...and their manager resigns? pretty dumb move on his part but i understand his being upset. why he didn't just play out his contract while looking for another job is beyond me. would you hire him now? i don't think i would. i also don't think i'd take a manging job with the nationals.

He had essentially become a permanent interim manager for the Washington Nationals, a franchise that has spent much of its time trying to become relevant.
