Jimmie johnson underrated

Not taking away anything from Jimmie's great finish, but I don't think anyone who's watch Jimmie Johnson for the last couple of years wrote him off on any type of track........short, milers, two milers, roads or restrictor plates. Jr has improved on the roads.......he ain't there yet. Jr had some bad luck (heck, let's tell it like it was.........he screwed up early with his too deep into the turn thing). Jr did good too.........he recovered from a rather poor first couple of lap showing and salvaged a lot of points. He lost 20 more to Jimmie. That ain't bad considering how it looked early. I don't think anyone has underrated Jimmie........he has proven he is a threat on any track he happens to strap his behind in a car and start the engine in. Just because DW says he's underrated doesn't make it so.

By the way where did you hear Jr was going to win the race today? Or where did you year Jr was going to retake the points lead today? :blink: I never heard it........in fact I heard quite the opposite. :)
 
Not everyone listens to DWs dumb*** comments, anyway Im talking about peoples opinions I have seen. On here and on several other message boards people thought and said there was verry little chance for him to win the championship, every year hes been in nascar. Last week, (after points standings were posted) again on here and on several other boards I go to several people made remarks like " Its ok jr will get the points back next week, jimmie isnt good at road courses".
 
Those people are not even trying to be objective...........Jimmie's a big time threat to anyone in a Championship hunt, especially my guy!! :D He's good..........he may be the next Jeff Gordon in NASCAR!! But I want Jr to get one first..........just because Jr's my guy!! :cheers: :cheers:
 
a point lead does not matter now, i wish the guys in the top 5 or so would start running like 15th-25th a few races and get more ppl with on 400 points.

People are entitled to their opinion, just like you are entitled to yours. You said DW makes dumb+++ comments and I dissagree.

People are also entitled to root for their favorite driver. I'm sure no dissrespect was intended.
 
Im not going to sit here and post every little comment said about jj loosing the points, But heres one just recently before last weeks race.

What are you so upset for? First off that doesn't say that Jimmie won't win the championship. Secondly, I have read your snide little Jr. remarks and never said a word. Is this a case of "you can dish it out but you can't take it?" B)

"jimmie better enjoy leading now, its all down hill from here Yea that has nothing to do with jimmie not doing well in the points. Do you have to see everything spelled out or something?


As for jr, I have pretty much tried to make it clear that I have gained alot of respect for him in the recent months/year, I have even said once on here that imo he has just as much of a chance to win the cup as anyone else. if your reading more into my post that isnt there then that is your problem.
