FUJIFILM NASCAR CHARITY AUCTION PACKAGE ON EBAY
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 21, 2002) - Fujifilm and Target Chip Ganassi
Racing with Felix Sabates are offering for auction an exciting and unique
package that commemorates the No. 41 Fujifilm entry in the NASCAR Winston
Cup Race at Charlotte on October 13th, 2002. All of the proceeds from this
auction will benefit the Giant Panda Conservation Fund at the Smithsonian
National Zoo.
The eBay auction item number is 1870379821. The auction will end on October
30, 2002 at 9:27 a.m. EDT.
Jimmy Spencer drove the Fujifilm Chip Ganassi Racing Dodge during a one-time
appearance of the Fuji film special paint scheme.
The package being offered for auction includes the following items and has
an approximate retail value of $1,500.00:
* A Fine Pix A303 digital camera signed by Jimmy Spencer.
* 1 50-pack of recordable CDs.
* 1 512MB USB drive.
* A Simpson crew firesuit, (custom made with the Fujifilm logos) signed by
Jimmy Spencer and all of the Fuji film crewmembers.
* A Fuji film crew shirt (worn by a crew member during the race weekend).
* 1 pair of autographed (signed by Jimmy Spencer) driving gloves used while
driving the Fujifilm Dodge during the race weekend in Charlotte.
* A collection of wheel nuts taken from the Fujifilm Dodge during the pit
stops.
* A Jimmy Spencer autographed 1:24th scale diecast model of the Fujifilm
Dodge.
* 1 small stuffed toy panda.
Why a stuffed panda? Environmental conservation is a major focus at
Fujifilm. That's why the company partnered with the Smithsonian National Zoo
to provide a habitat for Giant Pandas Mei Xiang and Tian Tian in Washington,
DC. By educating the world about these amazing animals, Fujifilm's hope is
to ensure their survival in the wild for future generations.
