The Cleveland Browns have resigned their best player. Left tackle Joe Thomas just signed a contract extension for $84 million over the next 7 years. That is a hell of a lot of money for an offensive lineman, but he may be the best in the game at this point and he is still pretty young at 26 years of age. He protects the QB's blind side and he is also very good in the running game.

There's always a risk in signing any football player to that long of a contract. $44 million of that is guaranteed and will be paid out in the first 3 years of the deal. However, Joe Thomas has started all 64 games if his career and has not missed an offensive snap in his entire career. That is absolutely amazing. He is 6-foot-6 and weighs 312 pounds. He has also been selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his 4 seasons.
