I think we all expected Truex to win, so it felt kind of F1ish from that standpoint, but it was still a great race.

Tbh I think while he may not be the most talented driver overall etc, Truex is probably THE best out there at taking full advantage when he has the best car. He usually capitalizes when that's the case, and usually always VERY dominantly when he does.

He has quite a few of THE most dominant wins in the last 5-10 years. I remember him leading over 390 laps in the 600, which is the record most laps ever led in a race and probably the most dominant win ever in the modern era (not counting back to when there used to only be one guy on the lead lap regularly etc).

There's a reason they call him the most boring winner. When he is on he is usually pretty much gone.

Once a year or so, the #19 team nails it and MTJ is untouchable.
 
7 for all the good position racing throughout. MTJ “stunk up the show” he was so good.

8 for me. Great racing through the field though and I think NBC touched on it well.

Truex is among the top drivers but he’s different, honestly more “F1” like. The dude doesn’t have the passing ability of guys like Hamlin and Larson, but is wickedly consistent on running the best line for the car. It’s why he dominates with great stuff, he hits his marks all day
 
25 gadzillion. Best car won. Points leader is hot as hell. Hendrick got their asses kicked. KFB in the wall every session. Could it be better? **** no.
