I don't rate races, I find it a bizarre ritual. However, I agree that this one stood out as shockingly good. Maybe it just goes down as shockingly decent without the lapped traffic creating the conditions for that finish. Yet it happened, and it was exhilarating.
I've been to every Indycar race at TMS. That was the least promoted race ever by far. Love or hate Gossage, he was a 'promotor", which all of motorsports needs. Decent crowd, weather was great. Also the best race since they reconfigured the track and sprayed PJ1.
Hmmmm.....Jimmy Johnson finally did so well in an Indycar (Hint - He drove that track as if he knew it like the back of his hand). That plus the fact that he's finally building up a little experience with the car.
