Johanna Long Looking Toward NASCAR Return

Thank's Andy, I look forward to her return someday.

YEP. She will be back. I just hope It's with the top team she is trying to work something out with.

Danica and long on the same track? This is gonna be good.....

Good luck to her. I hope she gets a decent shot se we can see if she's got what it takes.

An idiot that thinks Johanna Long and Annabeth Barnes are "fat". Which neither of them are. Both are beautiful. And I wish he'd come to North Carolina and inform Annabeth of this because he'd be lying flat on the ground.

LOL! she'd kick his butt, huh? :D

Andy you made my day

She said that there was interest from "big name teams" and that she needs to supply funding - which I take to mean sponsorship. With her age, ability and some of the inroads recently made for female drivers, I've got to believe she'll be back on the track some time in 2014.

IMO, she's got marketability so hopefully someone is smart enough to cash in :)

I think she just needs to be make herself more marketable and, from what I gathered from Matt's article, I think she realizes that as well.

Oh, I'd pay to see it. #MyMoneysOnHer

Looks like she's going to have to work for it...nothing wrong with that

Her and her dad are working very hard on getting something put together.

Regan Smith has no future beyond the nationwide series and i meant next year.

He won the Southern 500 for a single car team. And last time I checked JR motorsports is a nationwide team, so he's a perfect fit. Johanna long is great in late models but she has done nothing impressive in any of her nationwide or trucks races. She deserves a ride but not at the hands of a proven winner and championship contender

Johanna Long in a good nationwide ride would impress and get a cup ride while Regan is stuck where he is. A rookie is outperforming him on the track under the same team. I just think his time has passed and I really want Johanna to get a good shot.

That rookie happens to be one of the best prospects NASCAR has had in a long time. Regan is still running well enough to be in the points lead.

I can think of a lot of other drivers in decent cars that should be out of a ride beforehand...Dakoda Armstrong (only racing because of his family's agricultural background), Ryan Reed (sponsored thanks to his feel-good diabetic story), Brendan Gaughan (sponsored by his dad's casino and sure as hell isn't progressing back into Cup), and probably a few others as well.

She deserves any deal she can make with a top team in order to prove herself. I don't want to see her turn into a coulda been.

i agree with all of that, I'm just idk, hoping that Johanna gets a solid chance because she's never really gotten one. I know I went for something that is not likely to happen but when I think of the bigger nationwide teams, it would be nice if they groomed even more drivers for the future instead of guys who probably won't get another shot (I mentioned Smith, but Sadler another..)

Yep Regan Smith is a very underrated driver and might win the title this year. Those 3 above are better options to replace
