John Andretti to DEI?

Totally NASCAR reported that John was test driving a DEI car at Indy. That is all that I caught. The rest is all speculation. Maybe he was just running a test for them. Maybe he has a tryout. Who knows, but it would be nice to see what John could do with a quality ride. Or maybe it is just a R&D prodject they plan on putting him in.

Do you really think John would be any worse than Mikey? I know he would be better than Green.
 
The way I understood it, it was a Chance 2/DEI car. It is the same car that failed to make the Chicagoland race.
 
One of our local stations that does a weekly radio show with John is reporting he will run the Brickyard 400 with the #81 team!
The #81 is a chance2 team Teresa is co-owner so techincally it is also a DEI car
 
That's good to hear. I've always liked John, and I'm glad that he might be with DEI.
 
There is also a rumor being floated that John will be asked to drive a Toyota in the CTS next season.
 
O.k. I know John will try to run the brickyard in the chance2 car, but I have another question.

Cup teams are limited to the number of test sessions at tracks that have a cup race. Some teams go to none cup race tracks that are similar to get extra test time. Can teams use another driver, in this case DEI using John, to get extra test time? Or is it just count as a test for the chance2 cup team? And that team can share there info with who ever they want (DEI)?

This counts as a test for the Chance 2 team only. That team can share the info with whomever they want.
 
he is a hell of alot faster in the DEI car which he had never driven than Christian is in the 43 I have always thought John was wasting his talent at PE. God wouldn't i be funny if he won the brickyard :XXROFL:
