John Wes Townley to Run Trucks With Athenian Motorsports for Rest of 2014

• Townley to drive for Athenian Motorsports remainder of year: Athenian Motorsports expands their operation to include a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team to its lineup for the 2014 season. John Wes Townley will run the #05 Zaxby's Toyota Tundra for the remainder of the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. "We already knew we were going to run some NCWTS races in 2015," John Wes Townley said. "The opportunity arose this season to bring the trucks to Athenian Motorsports. With that, we will run the remainder of the 2014 truck series season through Athenian." I wonder why though, he was doing pretty good with the 5 truck. Wonder why he's going with a startup, family owned team all of a sudden in the middle of the season.

He's running part-time in Nationwide with them, and they have his dad listed as the owner for those races. Probably a business deal.
