Let's face it. Barring a miracle we're down to two. Who are you rooting for to take the title this year?

I'd love to see Clint Bowyer rise to the top of the leaderboard but I'm going to be more realistic and root for Keselowski over Johnson.

Probably Johnson. I think he is better than people want to admit or accept, one more title is another burden for those in denial.
It isn't that I am a natural fan, but the lack of respect he receives has led me to enjoying and appreciating his accomplishments.
I think there's some jealous from Gordon fans, and I really want their cause to become more unbearable.

Most importantly I also like seeing a fine looking Chandra, while Brad usually brings less eye candy to the party.

I can't imagine Brad's ego if he wins it. lol

Is anyone surprised that Brad has already came closer to winning the championship than Kyle ever has?

I'm good with either one really. It'd be cool to see a new champion such as Brad, but I'm a Hendrick guy so I'm cheering for JJ and Chevrolet to bring home the hardware. Think Brad has got a good chance though, he survived Martinsville and the schedule doesn't favor one or the other the next 3 races so it should be a good battle.

Clints 26 points back, KK 29. A cut tire, the 2 and 48 tangle while racin', Juan and Hornish do their usual and Clint could be on top or KK.

I have been clicking the heels on my ruby slippers every week since the chase started. ;)

I'm not surprised. Kyle has the talent, but he doesn't have the maturity that his teams needs. At a minimum he could just keep quite during the disappointments. Words are just words, but that doesn't discount their ability to destroy. I don't know why he would ever own a team, he doesn't have the personal (life) skills to attract high performance people. Driver or owner you can't treat professionals (that are doing their best for you) like crap.

Harvick has a similar problem, and Stewart himself doesn't need be telling his people to get their head out of their butts.

I have to disagree with you on that. Keselowski doesn't even have a top ten in eight races at Texas with an average finish of 25th. Johnson has 8 top fives in 18 races and average finish just under 10th - second only to Kenseth in active drivers.

The Phoenix numbers are even more in Johnson's favor and considering that most years Johnson just had to finish Homestead to win the cup, it's tough to call.

I was going off the performance of the 2 team recently at 1.5 mile tracks, they've been as good as anybody. Those numbers obviously favor JJ though, so hopefully Brad figures Texas and Pheonix out and we have a good battle.

I'm rooting for Keselowski over Darth Vader but I think Vader has the advantage. Darth's been in this situation many times before.

Jimmy has nothing more to prove and Brad has to prove himself to his detractors and those who think he cannot win the championship. I think he is hungry enough to take it. Jimmy is not complacent and a formidable challenger but I don't see Brad getting flustered like others in similar circumstances. As for his ego, am I missing something here? I see Brad as a straight shooter , not a smart mouth or whiner. He is, IMHO, a racers racer of the style of Tony Stewart. While Brad is an Polish diamond in the rough, Jimmy is somewhat refined and polished. So........ I go with Brad. But if Jimmy wins, one more feather in his cap along with a ring, millions of dollars, stature, fame, etc., etc., etc.

Look at Brad's track records for Charolette, Dover, Chicago, etc. They don't seem to mean anything now. He blew JJ away at the end of the Chicago race, and was so fast at Chorolette, JJ and Denny bailed with 110 laps to go. I always said it takes Brad a few runs to figure out a repave, but I think he will be real fast at Texas and Homestead. If he has Phoenix figured out, we may see Chad do some stuff that gets him in trouble at Homestead.

I gotta go with Clint.... It would be #$%^&* for the sport!

New record for the #2 team: by finishing second at Texas on Sunday, Brad Keselowski recorded his 22nd top-10 finish of 2012. This represents a new record for top-10 finishes in a season by a driver of the #2 Miller Lite Dodge. Rusty Wallace previously scored 21 top 10s in the "Blue Deuce" during the 1993 and 1998 seasons.(Penske Racing)(11-7-2012)
OK FB let'er rip, do us proud.

Surprising, but top 10's aren't all that. Since Kentucky, the #2 team as been like a whole new bunch. They've only been out of the top 10 twice in that span, and one was after being tag teamed by Kurt and Labonte at Bristol.

You can do better than that, the snow- err slush- must be getting to ya, it's a record, no matter how insignificant.

In 93 Wallace won 10 of 30 in Penske's #2 Pontiac . Technicallys it wasn't the blue duece, # 2 itself was actually the color.

After the 93 scare, Penske and Wallace took steps in 1994 to prevent the double figure win counts, and any risk of winning a championship by switching to Ford. The move was successful and Wallace's wins became more difficult and more in line with the goals of being #2.
After the decline in results was achieved they were confident enough to leave Ford for Dodge. They just made the Dodge blue to remind themselves of the way the blue oval folks taught them to loose.

The plan worked to perfection and so well that it allowed them to keep the win count down, far from winning 10 of 30 in the Pontiac. Nascar figured it out and even added 6 or 7 races to thwart the twisted goal, but Penske and Wallace's master plan was to strong(or weak) after all Penske is a man who will run an AMC Matador or Ford to limit success if needed and Wallace eventually retired.

Things have have worked smoothly since, but now they have a kid who has no respect the mission of being number two. But Penske is determined and after Homestead, trucks with new hardware designed to limit wins and titles will arrive. Penske is a man who will run a Ford if needed to keep things in the proper order.

Kesolowski is driving hard because this may be his last chance. Buddy Holly had to quickly accomplish much because his time was short, likewise Brad had better make the next two races count. Because you have to go back to David Pearson to find a Ford that had dominating authority.

It's tough to bet against Darth Johnson. When he gets the points lead, taking it away from him is like trying to take a steak out of a pit bull's mouth.
