Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent, accused of intoxication manslaughter, will return to court on Friday to find out if he can stay out of jail on bond.
Brent, 25, faces trial for the death of teammate Jerry Brown, Jr. in a December automobile wreck.
Authorities believe Brent had been drinking and driving when he crashed his car, killing his friend and teammate. His blood alcohol levels were more than twice the legal limit.
In a motion filed in Dallas County on Thursday, authorities say a SCRAM device Brent was wearing "alerted them to the presence of alcohol" and possible tampering.
The motion says the SCRAM device detected alcohol four times: February 27 and 28, March 6 and 9.
Brent also missed two bond supervision appointments and missed downloading information from the SCRAM device.
A condition of Brent's bond was wearing a SCRAM device and not drinking alcohol as long as his case was pending.

Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent will stay out of jail and not have his bond increased after a Friday hearing on allegedly violating his bail, but will have to wear an additional ankle monitor.
In a motion filed in Dallas County on Thursday, authorities say a SCRAM device Brent was wearing "alerted them to the presence of alcohol" and possible tampering. The motion says the SCRAM device detected alcohol four times: February 27 and 28, March 6 and 9.
A condition of Brent's bond was wearing a SCRAM device and not drinking alcohol as long as his case was pending.
In court on Friday morning, the CEO of a rehab center Brent is attending said Brent hadn't uploaded or logged his data 20-plus times.
But defense attorneys argued anything could have set off the device, including just being in the presence of alcohol or even hand sanitizer.
Ultimately the judge ordered an additional monitoring device to be worn by Brown, one that can take a picture of where Brown is when the sample is taken.
