Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent, accused of intoxication manslaughter, will return to court on Friday to find out if he can stay out of jail on bond.
Brent, 25, faces trial for the death of teammate Jerry Brown, Jr. in a December automobile wreck.
Authorities believe Brent had been drinking and driving when he crashed his car, killing his friend and teammate. His blood alcohol levels were more than twice the legal limit.
In a motion filed in Dallas County on Thursday, authorities say a SCRAM device Brent was wearing "alerted them to the presence of alcohol" and possible tampering.
The motion says the SCRAM device detected alcohol four times: February 27 and 28, March 6 and 9.
Brent also missed two bond supervision appointments and missed downloading information from the SCRAM device.
A condition of Brent's bond was wearing a SCRAM device and not drinking alcohol as long as his case was pending.
