I was on vacation in Florida last week and took one of the tours of the racetrack. Got a good and up-close view of the patch work thanks to JPM and the jet blower fire.

I can hear it now..... And next on you right, we have the results of the handiwork of NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya and the 'Great Jet Blower Fire of 2012'. Born September 20th, 1975 in Bogotá, Colombia, this driver was single-handedly responsible for bringing the Great American race to a screeching halt on the evening of February 27th, 2012.

I'm pretty sure the jet dryer driver was trying to move down a lane but the closing rate was more than he could handle.

I wonder what size the plate is on the jet dryer? Many drivers/fans have always claimed that restictor plates cause crashes.

Hopefully ALL jetdryers will be in Hiding this weekend!

or ban Juan from the race

I ways thinking more along the lines of the rain staying away:

Daytona Beach International Airport (KDAB)
Saturday Night Isolated showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

The legend of Juan, signed work and who gets the high line. lol These were good for a laugh in the morning.

We'll be talking about the pablum patch for years to come until the track is repaved. How the patch upsets the cars etc. For years Seekonk had a asphalt patch just before turn 3, finally they re did it with a concrete patch. Changed the whole complextion of the track

As long as that patch is visible, that's all people will think about when they see turn 3 of Dayton.
