JR at Daga

Jeez, are you guys being serious?

Completely honest here, that weekend of the Daytona 500 (2001) I left the house because I went out of town with my girl on vacation to Orlando. On Sunday I was driving back home and she was sleeping, I left the vcr recorder on so I didnt bother to hear the race over the radio. As I was driving home I had a weird feeling that someone was going to end up hurt or worse because of this race. It was a pretty strange feeling, so instead of watching the tape when I got home I turned to ESPN News to see if my instincts were correct... and they were.

Weird how the mind works.

Neither do I, de7.

The last time I had this queezy feeling was Feb. 2001. :(
Trust me i know that feelin

Lets just hope it goes away about 4:00 sunday afternoon and we somehow do not have the big one this week, i hate plate racin

RobbyG, I even said something to one of my 'net friends before the race that day, and she was scared.

I'm thinking I'm going to tape the race and not watch until I know all went well.

I like Jr. But a guy with a concussion even a slight one. Don't need to be in a 185 mph race with a pack of 43 cars. It is better to be safe than sorry. Let's just pray all goes well.

I hope nothing happens. I think it's better for him to suffer in the points then with his life...BUT praying all goes well and Jr. comes home with a victory.

I don't like RP racing --- not at all.
You call it racing? Sure, it's exciting for the fans, but pure hell for the drivers. The drivers are more important than the fans, because the drivers are the ones putting on the show. In my opinions, drop the plates.. or drop the races.

LOL - you aint kiddin'! Bring on some more Richmonds, Bristols, etc.

Personally, I love Restrictor plate racing at the superspeedways sure people may think it isnt racing. But try and drive in a three or four wide 32 something car pack for like 2 and a half hours and even the slightest mistake and then the big one breaks out and then tell me it isnt :) ! The drivers have to lift, ease off the accelerator to prevent crashing the guy in front of him and it presents a greater challenge.

You've gotta good point there, but I'd like to see Harvick take this one. I think so, Benny Parsons thinks so, any takers?

I'd love to see either Harvick, Park or Andretti in victory lane this Sunday. But still, Earnhardt Jr. above all

I'm not kidding, redrock. I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that whole speedweek.

I don't like RP racing --- not at all.
I feel ya completely on this one sister. ;)

I am usually slightly torn on sundays where the race and my Browns game overlap. A plate "race" does wonders for that decision. I will check sporadically to just see if any major developments happen, but I'd rather watch the WNBA than watch a plate "race". -_-
