Jr Goes 2 For 2!

I know it's just the bud shootout and the first duell but I think this is awesome! Jr has so many haters and doubters and I think that these wins not only make him a Daytona 500 favorite but also prove that with good stuff under the hood he can win and in the end in racing; winning is all that should matter!

^ Ha well TRL (get it? You shorten mine I'll shorten yours) whatever you did please keep doing it ;)

Will see what happens when we go to a track he actually has to drive on...

Raz, there's no doubt he's the plate king. But let's see what he can do at tracks like California and Vegas, tracks he's struggled at and other HMS cars have done well.

BTW, I picked him to win the 500 last week. It's hard to go 3 for 3. So if he doesn't get it, I like for a Toyota to win it or a surprise driver like a Ryan Newman.

if nothing else, it shows the inferiority of the DEI equip.

I agree and that's why as a Jr fan I'm so excited because I think his move to HMS will make that happen and he will prove what Jr nation has know all along, he is a fantastic driver and if you ask me a future cup champion!

He even said today that the car was moving everywhere and was hard to drive, to me that proves something.

Its too bad Jr. needs to be in the best equipment to run that good. :D

Just kidding folks..I just needed to say that. lol

Just to prove how good equipment can make a diff, Kenny wallace raced his way in, in better equipment. He was thrilled and so grateful and even thanked the people that FIRED him and asked him to come back on his terms. Yay herman.

People don't like to admit it but sometimes the driver is only as good as his car. Sure, a good driver can do decent in a bad car, and an ok driver can do well in a GREAT car...... but the diff between DEI and the first two Hendrick motors for Jr is dramatic.

I still remember when Jr stepped in to drive Kyle B's car that was wrecked last season (when Kyle left the track before the garage got his car fixed) Jr said even WRECKED that car drove better than anything he had driven at DEI. That spoke volumes of the problems of DEI.

I am thrilled for the confidence booster for Jr if nothing else and the media and haters need to just back off and let him do his job.

I for one am SICK of the media blaming jr for bad ratings, attention from all the stations, camera time, etc.
I can ASSURE you he would rather just be left alone to do his job.

I was never a Hendrick fan but once I wrapped my thoughts around the fact that's where Dale was going,, and saw the boy so happy, I was thrilled for him.

Go jr!!:D

Well I have to say reck, Jr would of ran well with DEI if DEI had the equipment they should have, but they don't put out like HMS does so yes he will do well with the good equipment, Jeff is a really good driver but if he didn't have the equipment do you think he would be doing as well as he has? Don't want to step out of line here but it's the driver and the equipment it all goes together. (IMO) if it counts :p

And Ilike to say Congrats to Jr for his 2 for 2 Good going GR88 to see him back in Victory Lane again hope to see him there more offen.

I will say congratulations to JR. Guess Teresa will have to step up the program more now.

I'm not a big Jr. fan but there is no doubt the guy has skills at the big traks. I would actually love to see him win the championship just to rub it in his stepmoms face.

If the man were here to see it, I don't think he'd have a problem with Jr's move to Hendrick seeing as how it's paid off so far. Then again, if the man were here to see it, DEI would probably be as powerful an organization as Hendrick or close to it anyways. Jr's done an excellent job so far and proven that in reliable stuff he can get it done and then some. He had alot of strong runs last season but lack of car reliability ruined alot of them & how about the Chance 2 program last year, no plate wins for the first time since 02 thats how you really knew something was wrong because even when the Cup program struggled, Chance 2 was still strong...

Hey RPK. Good to see you back. Been awhile since we've seen you.

I feel the exactly the same way as you, I couldn't have put it better myself!

Its starting to like as if with top equipment Junior might finally be growing into his premature hype.
Good for him and I'm sure that he has slowly been gaining the respect of many like me who thought his large fan base was due largely to his heritage

I was a newbie to the sport when I choose Jr to pull for during speed weeks 04. I did it because he seemed so focused and determined to do well. I knew nothing of Dale Sr at the time or Ralph. So I knew for a fact not all of his fans are fans because he's an Earnhart.

I've always liked JR because of his attitude and demeanor. He reminds of the Old Guard in the sport. Not one to overly mention his sponsors and he's not afarid to tell it like it is.
