He's gotta get those handling problems under wrap or He's not gonna fair well at the end of the Year. I don't know if its not enough testing or what.

this within 400 points or top 10 thing is stupid.....way it looks now it will just be the top 10.

this is no way for racing....

Honestly.. I would like to see JR and Johnson to have problems and finish deep in the field during the next race so that more could slip under the 400 point radar.

Most likely, Sonoma is up next. :p

I was thinking the same thing Wide, although I don't want to see Jr slip too Far ^_^ But to make it more interesting  I'd like to see at least the Top 12 in the Title Hunt.

Won't happen though. We'll be lucky to have 5 drivers within 400 points after 26 races.

EMP your exactly right,
i said it before and once again this new points system SUX
what does it matter who is leading ? after 26 races the point spread from 1st to 10th will be 50 points.

not so fast, Jr finished 11th at Infineon last year and backed that up with a 3rd at the Glen. Not such a pushover at the roadcourses anymore.

Not to mention the added road course experience he got at Daytona this year. ;)

Jr. is going to get a top 5, just behind harvick, Robby Gordon, Tony stewart, and Jeff gordon. Jimmie Johnson better enjoy leading now, its all downhill from here.

I wouldn't count jimmie out yet, heres a comparison between Jimmie and dale jr over the last 10 races last year.

...wins/top 5/top 10
JJ 1......6.......2
JR 1.....3.......2

It will be hilarious and a tragedy if the 10th place driver is like 650 points behind at the break, then he wins the cup. He gains 600 points in one race! This system sucks. No matter who wins it, it sucks.

So it sucks when the "Wild Card" team wins the Super Bowl too? :)

Geeze, people, y'all have your mind made up and you haven't even seen it yet! :) You aren't even giving yourselves a chance to enjoy the final ten races.......it's all speculation. Why not wait to see? Last year at least half were yelling for changes to the points system.........we got 'em. Now half are yelling that there wasn't a thing wrong with the old system. Someone once said, "careful what you wish for"............this might be one of those times. :D

Bet the Jr. fans are cussing that 25 point penalty assessed against the #8 team right now as He would still have the points lead otherwise. :D
It was only a matter of time before Jimmie Johnson took the point lead as They've been running so strong and consistently recently. :D

The only change that needed to be made was the winner getting and extra 10-25 points.

This Jr fan isn't! :D

He spun his car intentionally and affected the outcome of the race, he deserved the points penalty..........he has recovered nicely, though!!

I really do not care for footsballs either!!!!! Another example
of watchin grass grow. Too "beefy" for me.
I am just waiting to see how the end of this season plays out before
I make any hard comments.
And not being a Jr fan, I would love to see either Robby, Jimmie, or
Jeff G. stay up there.
Note: I don't dislike Jr. I simply like others better. :p
