Nbc sports web page is reporting that biffle had engine trouble and Jr. will move up to the pole position. I would add the article but don't know how.
I had to take a second look because I didn't believe my eyes.
anyone else heard about this?

There will be therapists and counselors available for the GBFC members. Please avail yourselves of these services. They are generously being paid for by our good friend Happy29.....Thank you , Happy!!! :p  :D

Ah! Nothing quite like a little money to shake off the old state of shock!

Seriously, I do hate this for Greg and those guys. Fortunately, it was caught before the actual race and IF the big-one can be avoided it may still be a good day for Greg. At least I hope so. :)

Kewl,Jeff Gordon will start 37th then, already moving up through the pack

Man that stinks for Greg and crew. I hope everyone avoids the big one and it's a safe race tomorrow. :)

NW--what a great idea---your a great member! ^_^

Could someone please explain why Salder isn't starting on the pole?

The inside lane moves up. That is, the odd numbered starters. Although at first I wondered the same thing and still not sure what type of logic Nascar uses in this.

A lot of controversy about this one,but only the inside or outside lines are changed, this is for safety's sake as when the driver that had to change engine/car falls to the back of the field, before the green,it's safer and easier for the other drivers in that line to just move up a spot to fill the vacated spot/spots left void.
It isn't really fair when the pole-sitter actually had the 3rd fastest qualifying round, but safety and efficiency overrides the time trials. ;)

Ricky Craven, Ryan Newman, and Derrike Cope are also dropping to the rear from engine changes. Of course, they didn't have as far to fall back.
