Jr's new number?

Now that we know he won't be in the 8 car in 2008 what number would you like to see him in? Personally since I have been a long time Terry Labonte fan and now I'm leaning towards becoming a Jr fan I would like to see him in the 5 car next year.

I don't think that's gonna happen cause I have never heard 5 come out of jr.'s mouth, I have heard 81,08 and andy petree said don't forget the #3 but that would a tremendous long shot but could u see all the jaws hit the floor when he would lift up the car cover to reveal the #3

I was watching an interview with Jr talking about the 3. He said that was his Daddies number and the only way he would consider having it on his car would be in his final racing season as a tribute to his father.

28 could be a possibility -- the 2 for his dad, the 8 for him. I know, that was Davey's number, but maybe it's time to bring it back.

I wouldn't mind if he drove the 5. Terry made that a great number.

I could care less what number he drives, i think Jr. is a good racer and will become an even better one with Hendrick. It would make the most sense to put him in the 5 wouldn't it?

I know the # 8 has ties to him....bal bla bla. I'm sure other numbers have ties to other drivers, but you take what they give you. Jr if you wanted the 8 so bad you should have stayed where you were.

I think it would be great if he ran the 5. It would be respectful of the HMS organization's history, and that car has won two championships - it ain't so bad!

I think they should just put 11-3 on the cars and then everyone will still remember him as 8. That way maybe those with the tatoes can just add the 11-3= and the problem is solved. Hope everyone forgives me for be a little silly but Lil E is Lil E no matter what no he drives.
