Jr's qualifying lap DQ'd

MARTINSVILLE, Va. --Dale Earnhardt Jr's outside pole qualifying run was disqualified and Jr will start at the back of the field on Sunday. During post qualifying inspection nascar officials found an illegal part on the engine. When asked about the infraction, Tony Sr.(Jr's crew chief) said,"Well, since we can only seem win on plate tracks, we thought we'd try using the plates at every track to see if we could get some more wins, we didn't realize it was against the rules."

It seems like every time he qualifies well he is DQ'd! :wacko: I wonder If he did that a lot last year, like at Kansas when he got the pole...? :unsure:
