NEW YORK (AP) - Opening the door to scores of Sept. 11 lawsuits against the aviation industry, a judge concluded Tuesday that the hijacking and crashing of a jetliner was a ``foreseeable risk.'' U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein said negligent security screening might have contributed to the deaths of 3,000 people in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the crash of a hijacked plane in Pennsylvania

IMO, I think this is just another example of embarrasing entitlement politics in our country. We have to take into account that the new security measures at the airports are a result of September 11th, and quite frankly before September 11th no one saw a major terror attack coming. It just sickens me that people plan to sue airline industries for millions of dollars while families who's soldiers have died or been injured in Iraq only see $1000 to $25,000.
