July 10, 1949: In the second race in the newly formed Strictly Stock series (forerunner to the Cup series), four siblings – brothers Tim, Fonty and Bob Flock and sister Ethel Mobley – compete in a 40-lap race on the 4.15-mile Beach & Road Course in Daytona Beach. It is the only time in series history four siblings have competed in the same race. Tim finished second to Red Byron, and Ethel finished 11th, Fonty 19th and Bob 22nd in the 28-car field.
